Now this is gonna be a great option for you if you're looking for something that's not gonna be able just to carry one kayak but also two kayaks. Now let's take a closer look at it. So this is gonna hold your kayaks down with this J-style, but if you need to hold more than one kayak, if we look at the other ones we have on here today, you can actually rotate the arms to make 'em vertical and that's gonna let you hold two kayaks. If you have one kayak, you're gonna be able to hold up to 80 pounds, but if you put two on there, that's going to go up to 110. more

Yakima Saddle Style Kayak Roof Rack Review - 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima Kayak Carrier with saddles and rollers on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. What's great about this one is that it's gonna have these rollers on the back and that's gonna make getting your kayak up there a lot easier, is you're gonna just gonna be able to lift it up and roll it across those rollers and that's gonna be a lot easier to sit down on top of your vehicle. Now let's take a closer look on how to take off our kayak. And to start off with that, we're just gonna remove our balance and stern straps. These straps are gonna have a lot of good tie-down points, right now we just have it hooked on to some of the hardware for our hitch. In our case today, you can hook it onto a lot of different tiedown points inside the truck, since we have these built-in anchor points or you can even use these anchor points built into our ladder rack. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline right here at etrailer and today I have the Yakima ShowDown Kayak and Standup Paddleboard Carrier with Lift Assist. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2023 Kia Seltos. The Yakima ShowDown is going to be a lift assist kayak carrier, which means that it makes it easier for you to get the kayak up and onto your roof. The way this does that is that it has a track where it slides out and then it pivots down so that you load your kayak down here instead of lifting it up and over onto your roof, which is awesome. But there are some downsides and the main downside is that you need to make sure you have the right roof rack. So I know that Kia Seltos has some different options for trims. more

So if you wanted to carry around maybe more kayaks or other accessories on your roof rack like a roof box or roof basket, even though your Seltos' roof width isn't that much compared to other vehicles, with J-style kayak carrier, you can do so. Now, focusing on how this fits on our Seltos, though, let's talk about things like how we have it strapped down, how much space it takes up, and how easy is it to load your kayak up on here. Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Class 4 J-style kayak carrier and seeing how it fits on top of our 2022 Ford Maverick. So this is gonna be a J-style kayak carrier. What that means is the carrier itself is sort of shaped like a J and it's gonna hold your boat a little bit more upright like you see here compared to something that's gonna hold it by the hole, it's gonna take up a lot less space on your roof rack like this, and I'm a personal fan of J-style carriers because one, they're very stable, they get a lot of contact on the boat keeping it nice and still when it's on the roof, this one is certainly no exception to that rule, and then also you can just fit more on the roof rack. So if you wanted to take more than just the one kayak with us, we could very easily get another one of these carriers on the other side of our Maverick and get two to wherever we're going. more

A kayak carrier like this one will help you get one kayak wherever you need it to go, up to 75 pounds. In the case of the Class 4, it's gonna be a J-style hook, which doesn't take up a lot of space on our crossbars at all. So if you wanted to get another kayak up there if your crossbars allow for that weight, you could do that or maybe even fit some other accessories on the other side as well. This carrier is secured on our 49" crossbars here and you can see we're still able to get one of the feet of the actual carrier on the outside which gets the kayak closer to us for easy unloading and loading. more

Hey, this is Ethan at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Nautic Saddle Style Roof Rack Carrier for your kayak or your paddle board on our 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. This style of carrier is gonna be great for, like I mentioned, a longer kayak or a larger standup paddle board, 'cause you do have the ability to load it yourself with these pivoting cradles that we'll get into once we get the actual kayak removed. First thing we need to do to get the kayak removed is to get all our straps taken off. There are four straps included, including the bow and stern straps. To get those removed, we'll start by undoing this hook and loop strap that we're using for our excess, pulling the rest of the strap out. more

This is a fixed J-style kayak carrier, which basically means that it is a J-Hook style carrier, but it's in the fixed position, which means that it can't be folded down. So the way that it's on there is the way that it's gonna stay. It's capable of supporting a kayak up to 100 pounds, and it fits on our crossbar system using these clamps here. The clamps just hold onto our crossbars to this plate, and we just thread these hand knobs to secure it. more

Kuat Class 4 V2 Kayak Carrier Review - 2022 Kia Forte- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Kuat Class 4 C2 Kayak Carrier and how it fits on the 2022 Kia Forte. This is one of my favorite kayak carriers. It's definitely a premium one with a bunch of premium features that just makes it easier for you to carry around your kayaks, and you have integrated locks. Now we do have 'em on the SeaSucker round bars, and pretty much no matter what kayak carrier you have, there will be a little bit of rotation on round bars, but this one has it down to a minimum. So this has a bunch of integrated locks, but you aren't able to lock the kayak to the carrier. That's something to keep in mind. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Class 4 V2 on our 2019 Toyota Sequoia. So we're gonna have two different colors that you can choose from. It just depends on what kind of style you're going for. If you like the color orange, the gray version has little orange accents, which are kind of cool. Today, we're taking a look at how the Yakima JayLow kayak carrier fits on the 2021 Audi Q7. The JayLow is a J-style kayak carrier which means it's a bit more compact compared to saddle style kayak carriers. If you wanna carry more kayaks or more accessories on your roof rack, this is the way to do it. You're gonna have a ramp on the end just to help you get that kayak into position. And you can technically carry around two kayaks with this carrier. A downside is it doesn't have a cushion on the other side for that. more

But that Telos Load Assist System is gonna just hook in to these front slots right here on your carrier and give you an easy way to lift your kayak up into place. The Q7 is a taller vehicle here, so especially after you've been out on the water paddling you're gonna be tired, lifting that boat up above your head and getting it into here is gonna be difficult. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Nautic, standup paddle board or kayak carrier here on our 2021, Audi Q7. Now this is going to be a saddle style carrier, holding the boat hull down, long ways, like this on the roof rack compared to something like a J-style carrier that would be carrying it more upright. This is gonna be good for our larger boats because of the way it holds it. You won't be able to fit as many boats on the roof because of this. more

Now this is going to be a fixed J-style carrier, which means it doesn't fold down flat when it's not in use. Maybe not the best if you're planning on leaving it on for long periods of time, but it is going to get a really good strong hold on the kayak up on your roof here. J-style's gonna also be great for getting multiple kayaks on your roof if you'd want to. So if you've got a friend coming with you, you can pop one of these on the other side of the vehicle, and still have some room on your crossbars to spare. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden, here with etrailer.com and today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Class Two J style kayak carrier here on our 2021 Toyota 4Runner. Now in general, I like J style kayak carriers because of the room they give you on your roof to put other accessories whether it be another kayak, a basket, or a box. And they just hold the kayak really well. You can see this is solid up there. Everything is cradled in really nicely, and the strap kit does a really good job of holding it down into those cradles, keeping things solid on the roof. more
